Q: What do I do if I have questions about my bill?

A: You can contact International Patient Unit for your questions.

A: Your physician will give you prescriptions for the new medications you need before you are discharged. With theese prescriptions you can get your medications from any pharmacy.

A: On the day of your discharge, our goal is to have you ready to leave by 11 a.m. Your doctor will write your discharge order after the morning visit.

A: Please check with your nurse. Some treatments and procedures require hospital gowns.

A: Breakfast is served between 06:30 – 07:00 a.m. Lunch is served between 12:00 – 13:00 p.m. Dinner is served between 19:00 – 20:00 p.m. Snack is served at 09:00 a.m. 03:00 p.m. 09:00 p.m.

A: During the hospital stay, if the patient has his/her own medications, these medications are given to our nurses. They check deadlines and The medications are given to the patient on time and under the control of nurses.

A: Second opinions are not uncommon. Discuss your desire for another opinion with your doctor. You can ask your nurse to help you with this.

A: Tests and procedures are scheduled daily, with emergencies handled first. Your nurse will know if your test or procedure will be done in the morning or afternoon.

A: Your doctor will see you Daily in the morning. The time of the visit depends on your doctor's schedule. Check with your nurse for an estimated time.

A: The length of your stay is based on your progress and your treatment. Please check with your doctor.

A: Just one conpanion is recommended for the patient. This person should  be not just a family member but can also be a friend.

A: Dial "0" for the hospital operator to assist you. Give the number you want to dial to the hospital operator.

A: You may receive more than one bill from the same hospital.

A: You may pay your bill to our hospital cashiers. We accept cash and all kind of credit cards.

A: Your hospital bill includes charges including services ordered by your physician, such as consultations, operations, X-rays, Laboratory tests, medical supplies.

A: Internationel Patient Unit is glad to help you with any questions or concerns you may have about your bill. 

A: As it is understood from the name, Bodrum State Hospital is a state hospital. That’s why we care the patients’ health first.

A: If you have an emergency please call 112. Be prepared to give your name, the phone number and address you are calling from and a description of emergency.

A: Cell phones may be used in hospital lobbies, on patient floors and in patient rooms. Cell phones may not be used in the ICU except in waiting areas.  

A: Free, public wireless Internet access is available. Through this network, you can use laptop or mobile devices to access the Internet from patients’ hospital rooms, waiting areas, cafeterias and other locations.

A: Bodrum State Hospital has a small mosque on the third floor for patients and their families and hospital caregivers.

A: Bodrum State Hospital offers adult and pediatric blood drawing service at its main building. When your doctor orders a lab test, check with the receptionist to see from hospital’s system. Lab results are available through your doctor’s office. 

A: During admission, you will be welcomed and given a registration form regarding your personal informations, your complaints and health history. During this time, the International Patient Unit will be arranging your appointment for doctor.

A: No, you will be provided with a Hospital File Number during your first registration. Your Hospital File Number will be applicable for all consultations/investigations irrespective of the doctor, at all times.

A: Differently from the Turkish citizens, you will have a different registration procedures. That’s why we’re, as International Patient Unit, here to assist you before, during and after your visit to Bodrum State Hospital.

A: Please contact International Patient Unit in the main entrance of the hospital. On arrival, you have to fill the registration form provided at the International Patient Unit.

A:You will need to have the following informations with you for your registration.

  • Photo ID, any one of the following is acceptable
    • Valid state – issued ID card
    • Valid passport
    • Valid state – issued driver’s license
  • List of prescriptions ( if you have )
  • Medical documents ( if you have )

A: General visiting hours are from 13 p.m. to 14 p.m. and 19 p.m. to 20 p.m. daily. Visiting hours in Intensive Care Unit are between 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m and if the insentive care unit is available, visits should be limited to 5 minutes.

A: Bodrum State Hospital has a parking area in front of the building with a capacity of approximately 100 cars. Furthermore, all parking areas are free for our patients and visitor.

A: Thanks to the central location, Bodrum State Hospital is easily accessible by public transportation from Bodrum Terminal which takes 3-5 minutes, by car or taxi.
